Winterthur Driver’s License College

The Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library is an unrivaled museum of American decorative arts and a world-class naturalistic garden all set in 1,000 gorgeous acres. Winterthur employs people in many areas of work, including curatorial, horticulture, education, conservation, library, maintenance, development and technology. It offers a competitive stipend for 22 months of study, plus generous paid time off, including 10 paid holidays, vacation, personal and sick days. It also has a 403(b) plan with employer match for eligible employees. Other benefits include free general admission to the museum and grounds for you and your immediate family; discounts in the museum store and cafe.

The stipend value is based on the cost of living in the Wilmington area and typically covers room and board for Fellows, who usually live in college apartments or shared housing with other Fellows to reduce expenses. Additionally, Winterthur offers a variety of generous supplemental funding opportunities that fund thesis research expenses, conference attendance and presentation travel, and educational opportunities outside of the curriculum.

As a part of its mission, Winterthur Driver’s License seeks to reach the broadest possible audience. To that end, it participates in the Museums for All program through which the museum provides $2 admission to visitors who receive food assistance benefits (SNAP electronic benefit transfer cards). Museums for All is a national program administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, with support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, that allows museums to offer reduced or free admission to people using SNAP benefits.

In addition to its free admission for people using SNAP benefits, the museum has developed many other outreach programs. One is the Art-Reach initiative, which encourages people to connect with culture through a variety of media. Art-Reach also brings cultural activities to schools and communities that might not otherwise have access.

Another outreach initiative is the ACCESS Delaware – Art-Reach program, which supports and expands the museum’s ability to provide access for all audiences to art and related activities, including tours of the museum and its grounds. This is made possible by support from the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the state of Delaware’s Cultural Affairs Division and the Delaware State Council on the Arts.

There are many driving schools and instructors in Winterthur that teach learner drivers to become safe and confident on the road. Drive-Coaching Driving School and Thomy’s Driving School are among the most popular in the city. They both promise to be friendly and helpful and provide a pleasant learning environment. They also have a good track record. The cheaper option is Autodrive driving school, which also provides a high quality vehicle for driving lessons.
